The work session at Queens Birthday weekend (2 June) has been cancelled. We’ll resume work sessions in Spring – on 22 September (South Canterbury Anniversary weekend).
Lake Middleton
On 17 May a field visit hosted by the Upper Waitaki Zone Committee took place at Lake Middleton. The Zone Committee invited DOC, Waitaki District Council, adjoining land owners, Fish and Game, the Trust and ECan technical staff to discuss what are the issues facing the lake and its management? What could be done to address them?
The Trust looks forward to working with the relevant organisations to restore and enhance the lake and its margins. Further information will be provided when available.
